Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, have known one another since they were young children.
The July 7, 2023, engagement marked the couple’s apparent reference to Doncic’s jersey number of 77.
They included the date of the proposal along with a ring and heart emoji in the description of a picture they posted of the proposal.

Luka Doncic and Anamaria Goltes have been friends since they were little.
When asked about his relationship with his fiancée, Doncic replied that they had first met when they were young during an appearance on “Headliners with Rachel Nichols” in 2023.
“I met her when we were eleven years old in Croatia, at the same camp where I currently attend. I’m not sure, anything along those lines. Her presence makes me very joyful. It’s been fantastic. She is a big assistance to me,” the native of Slovenia said.
Anamaria Goltes works as a digital designer and model.
Goltes joined the Cheek by Lisca lingerie brand as an ambassador in 2017.
Later, in 2019, she posed for advertisements for Slovenian jeweler Zlatarna Celje while also making an appearance on the cover of Cosmopolitan Slovenija.
On her Instagram account, Goltes describes herself as a “digital creator” despite having a lot of modeling experience.
Before, Anamaria Goltes wasn’t a big fan of basketball.
Goltes wasn’t always a lover of basketball, even though her fiancé was a player for the Dallas Mavericks.
In a “Headliners with Rachel Nichols” episode, Doncic discussed this.
“There won’t be any basketball talk when I get home,” he declared. Despite her dislike of basketball, she attends every game. She didn’t like it, which is fortunate for me, but now she seems to like it. That is incredibly appealing to me.
Goltes has shared photos of herself encouraging her partner on Instagram. She uploaded a slideshow of pictures of herself and her dogs in 2020, all of them sporting jerseys with Doncic’s 77 number on them.

Goltes provided her admirers with an update on her life as a mother in May by posting some photos of herself spending time with her kid. She may be seen pushing her daughter in a stroller in one photo, and carrying baby Gabriela at a basketball game in another.
